JETS

The JETS (Joondalup Extension Training Squads) program is our specialist development program available for athletes registered within the Joondalup Netball Association.   The JETS vision is to assist JNA athletes develop and advance along the Netball elite pathway.

JETS will combine squads for all competitions including State Cup (formerly Cadets Cup), Fuel to Go and Play Association Championships and any other Netball WA Competition each season, under one umbrella.

JETS will consist of teams from U12 through to Masters, which will be selected following trials and compete throughout the season at the above-mentioned competitions.

The JETS program has been created to develop elite athletes, whilst at the same time support athletes in reducing the impact on physical and mental health workloads.  The JETS program assists in refining athlete development in the following ways;

·        One trial/grading program for the entire season, replacing sessions for each individual competition.

·        One JETS training session per week, reducing work load and burnout on athletes.

·        Extended training programs for improved development.

·        A dedicated strength and conditioning program facilitated by the renowned Mandy Hopper, MH Performance Coach.

·        Dedicated mental health sessions.

In addition, JNA offer the Future JETS program which is our training program aimed for athletes turning 11 years of age and is facilitated by JNA to provide our young athletes the opportunity to improve their netball skills, under the guidance of the Future JETS coaching team.
